Testimonials

    Polson Graeme Polson

“Studying at Schiller International University’s Paris Campus is a smart way to increase one’s cross-cultural literacy in the heart of Franco-phonic culture, while learning in a friendly, welcoming and supportive atmosphere. It is not only about what you learn from textbooks, but experiencing the splendour of  starting on a new page by travelling and soaking oneself  in a foreign culture, in the  quest to gain a valuable understanding of the  ever dynamic globalised world we live in.”

    Graeme Polson (South Africa)

    MBA, International Business.

    Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies

Students choose a major in Interdisciplinary studies to suit their particular needs and interests. Students pursuing this degree have the advantage of being able to select from all courses available at the Schiller International University campuses that offer this degree.

Students can develop an Interdisciplinary study major after completing their freshman year. The advising faculty member must have expertise in at least one of the subject areas involved in the selected program of study. The faculty member and the student prepare a tentative outline of courses to submit to the Academics Committee for approval. If the course is approved, it is placed in the student’s permanent file.

In concentration with a faculty advisor, students may develop a major in interdisciplinary studies to suit their particular needs and interests. Interdisciplinary Studies majors have the advantage of being able to select from all courses at the SIU campuses offering this degree. Courses selected must relate to a major offered by SIU.

NOTE: Many graduate institutions require a standard program of undergraduate study with a declared departmental major. Students who intend to continue their studies beyond the undergraduate level are therefore advised to select a specific major related to their graduate field rather than a major in Interdisciplinary Studies.
